HYBA 2025-26 - 1st through 8th Grade - Winter 2026

Harrison Youth Basketball Association (HYBA) is one of the largest of its kind in Georgia and provides boys 1st-12th and girls 1st-6th grade with the opportunity to learn and play. We practice once a week and play 8 games followed by a single-elimination tournament.  Games and practices take place at area middle schools when available and other local facilities.  9th-12th grade leagues practice early in the season but do not practice weekly.

We need coaches! This league consists of parent volunteer coaches. Check the appropriate box during registration to indicate your coaching interest.

1st-8th grade:

Coaches determine the practice schedule for their teams.  If you are not coaching, your practice night will be determined by the coach that drafts your player.  This could include any weeknight.  Games will take place on weekends.  Sunday games will always start at 1pm or later. 

For 1st-8th grade, we are unable to accommodate "same team" requests (exception is siblings in the same league).  Players are evaluated and drafted to ensure competitive balance.  The coaches pick the teams and the coaches pick the pratice schedule.

Eval Day is late Oct / early Nov, Practices Start early Nov, Games Start early Dec, Playoffs in early Feb

ANY PLAYERS THAT PLAY ON A SCHOOL-SPONSORED TEAM (private or public) CANNOT PLAY HYBA AT THE SAME TIME WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE LEAGUE DIRECTORS.  This is for any middle-school or high-school level team.  Players that register and continue to play for a HYBA team after making a school-sponsored team are at risk of being removed from HYBA with no refund and having their team's HYBA games forfeited.

Any HYBA registrant who makes a Middle School or High school team and cannot continue in HYBA will receive a 100% HYBA refund.

HIGH SCHOOL HYBA 2025-26 - 9th through 12th grade - Winter 2026

HIGH SCHOOL HYBA (for boys 9th through 12th grade):

In these leagues we allow AND ENCOURAGE coach requests and same team requests.  There is NO DRAFT to ensure competitive balance.

ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE A COACH ON THE BENCH THAT IS MIN. 21 YEARS OLD AND HAS PASSED THE HYBA BACKGROUND CHECK.

There will be some optional practice slots in late Oct / early Nov, the games start early Nov, and the playoffs are in January. Championship Sunday is January 18th.

When entering coach / team requests, enter the FULL NAME OF THE COACH (not a nickname) or THE FULL NAME OF OTHER PLAYERS.  If you enter team names, ALSO INCLUDE THE COACH NAME OR PLAYER NAMES (Ideally the coach name).

Please enter schedule requests NOW IF POSSIBLE !!!!  What dates can your team NOT PLAY GAMES ????

**NEW FOR 2025-26**

$25 add-on to registration for TEAM CUSTOM UNIFORM OPTION.  If you select this option, ALL PLAYERS ON YOUR TEAM must also select the $25 add-on for a team custom uniform.  If you do not select this option, then your entire team is ineligible (or you will just be on a different team).  If you select this option, a representative from your team _MUST_ work with our selected vendor to created a sublimated jersey design.  You _MUST_ select a primary jersey color from those available.  And HYBA will have the final approval over jersey design.  If your design is ultimately rejected then your team will have the stock uniform.

This is only possible for teams of AT LEAST 8 PLAYERS (max of 10).

We will begin contacting teams who selected this option in mid-September to begin the process.  All designs and sizes must be finalized by Friday Oct 17.

Players and teams that do not use the custom uniform option will be provided a stock uniform that is similar to those used in past seasons.
